one brick at a time.
i was talking to
somebody really smart,
can't remember who,
(my brother, my sister, or my dad)
i said something like,
"it's really hard to get up,
when somebody keeps throwing fucking BRICKS at you!"
to which, said smart family member replied,
"be grateful for those bricks ~
don't throw them back!
and
one by one,
build yourself a beautiful house!"
LOVE IT!!!
so true.
and the more i think about it . . .
i realized something!
at the end of the day,
I will have a GORGEOUS brick house ~
and the person who threw them at me,
will have NOTHING!
isn't Karma a bitch?
he he he!
you see,
when we are filled with anger & hate
when we PURPOSELY SET OUT to harm another~
we are the one who REALLY gets damaged.
I'm glad I'm the one
picking up the bricks
here.
. . . inhaaaaaaale . . .
. . . exhaaaaaaaaaaaaale . . .
xo.

That's a good lesson... nobody can make us feel inferior unless we let them right? Yeah, I'm not going to let them
Thats it Erica, breathe in, breathe out! and build that beautiful home!
your post really resonated with me today. i've been dealing with a bit of negativity and this helped me reconnect to my center. thank you e!! <3
What a great analogy! I love this!
e- build girl, build. This is sometimes so hard to do, but i agree, taking the high road, is a much better option. And the big bad wolf has none.....
